All applicants should bring a lipid profile (cholesterol test) at the first medical after the age of 40 as from that age I have to calculate your QRISK (an estimate of your risk of developing coronary heart disease).
It is a good idea to have blood tests with your GP from the age of 50 onwards and it is very helpful if you can bring paper copies of the results of these whenever they are taken. It would also be very helpful for your GP to calculate your QRISK
